A week with FR Land: what stuck and what didn't

I went into FR Land expecting a throwaway tapper and came out with something I quietly enjoyed. The first hour is all about getting your bearings: you clear a few paths, restore a broken bridge, and the map starts unfolding in a way that made me want to see what was behind the next hill.

The controls deserve real credit. FR Land keeps everything to taps and short drags, so I played most of it one-handed while waiting for a train. Nothing asks for precise timing, and that makes it a genuinely relaxing game to pick up for a few minutes.

My advice: don't rush the early districts. The game rewards you for fully restoring an area before moving on, and it's easy to overextend and end up short on resources. Take one zone at a time and the pacing feels much better.

If I had one wish, it would be more variety in the mid-game tasks. You do collect the same handful of things a bit too often. But the sense of slowly bringing a little world back to life carried me through, and I still open it most evenings.
